Toyota Repair: no warning when leave lights on, toyota corolla, electrical problem

Question
Ted,
I've searched and have not seen a question like this.  We have not had a warning ding since we got our '92 Toyota Corolla a couple of years ago.  I checked the fuse that supposedly is the one for the warning lights and buzzers.  I tried another fuse in that slot and still nothing.  We also have no power to the lighter.  The dome light seems to burn bulbs quicker than usual.  Is this an electrical problem?  I've left the lights a few times and had to have a jump.  HELP!!

Answer
Yes it is an electrical problem which could be caused by a variety of problems, I would recommend having a professional that knows electrical systems check it, I have no quick answer for this other than that there seems to be a circuit that has extremely high resistance  or an intermittent short circuit to ground.
