Toyota Repair: fuel leak? fuel injector rings, leak fuel, fuel leak

Question
I have a 95 corolla and I smell fuel really bad.Expecially on drivers side seemingly from under the car.The fuel injector rings were supposedly replace and the problem got worse.what is the likely source of this leak and how do I fix it.

Answer
Please get this fixed right away. Do not think this is trivial. Had a friend who did his injectors, one didn't seal right and the fuel dripped down to his starter and ignited when he fired up the car a day later. First issue would be to find the source of the leak. Fuel is a great cleaner and wherever it is coming from there should be  really clean surroundings. I would check for the following leaks: 1. To depressurize the fuel system for repairs there is a check valve that needs to be relieved. Check there for leaks. Secondly, look around the injectors and see if one or all of them appear to be wet or at least wet. Lastly, I would look around my fuel filter and see if the fitting are tight, or if it was replaced, make sure both crush rings are in place. If one of them falls out it could cause quite a leak. As long as you do not engage the starter, this technique can be used. Turn the ignition to the on position, but DO NOT TURN THE CAR ON OR ENGAGE THE STARTER. Keep a fire extinguisher around just in case. When the key is in the on position the fuel system is pressurized and the leak should become quite apparent. Again, this is a low cost way for you to locate your leak but I urge caution and safety as fuel and battery can ignite under certain circumstances.
