Toyota Repair: 95 Camry Antenna Replacement, side kick panel, replacement antenna

Question
Hello....I just bought a replacement antenna (manual) for my 95 Camry and was surprised when it was handed to me.  This thing is nearly 6 feet long in the package, I was wondering where it all goes!  It goes into the driver's side A pillar.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has replaced one of these antennas before and could provide any hints to make this job easier, you know...learn from someone else's mistakes!  Howzbout it??

Answer
The antenna extends all the way into the left side kick panel which has to be removed to grab the antenna lead when installing the new one, it may help to cut the old antenna wire and then taping the new one on and then pull it into the pillar until the lead can be seen in the opening in the body, this is not an easy task, after getting a hold of the end of the antenna lead you will have to get it over to the radio, the radio has to be removed to disconnect the old antenna and then connecting the new one.
