Toyota Repair: Remote lock Corolla 1997, toyota emblem, port of entry

Question
I am trying to locate the reciever in the car. The dealer told me that its an aftermarket but the key fob has a Toyota emblem on it. I want to fix it or replace it. The dealer was not helpful said to bring it in.
My question is where is it and what does it look like.
neither fob works on the car but the led lights up when pressed.
The locks work fine when you activate with the button on the door.

Even though it has a toyota emblem on it the keyless entry may not have been installed at the factory, it may have been either dealer installed or the port of entry, to help I need to know what the remote looks like, can you foreward a picture of it? If not I will need the VIN# to check what the car originally came equipped with.
