-----Answer-----
Remove the rear power window switch from the dash and make sure the connector is on, if so does the window work with the key in the rear door, does it work with the remote? You may have to remove the rear inner door panel to check the motor by applying direct voltage to it to see if it can be operated this way, disconnect the electrical connector from the motor and alternately apply 12 volts to one side and ground the other side to make the motor move either up or down, if the motor can not be activated it needs to be replaced, the motor can also be checked with an ohm meter to see if it's open or shorted out.

Answer
If the rear window is not all the way up the wiper will not work, yes they use different motors, there is also a back door ecu under the rear door panel that controls both the window and the wiper, what I'm getting at is that there may not be a problem with the wiper because of the window malfunction, so the window not working is the first thing that needs to be addressed. Find out if the window motor can be powered up directly by applying battery voltage and ground, if it doesn't respond to this it needs to be replaced if it does move up and down by alternately applying positive and negative to both of the wires let me know but I still think the problem is the window motor.
