Toyota Repair: Toyota TownAce 1989, toyota townace, power steering rack

Question
I am in the US Aorce stationed overseas in Turkey.  I own a 1989 Toyota Townace and have been driving it for about a year and it is a wonderful getting the family around car.  The power steering pump is making some loud whining noises that come and go (more so when it is cold) the local mechanic says I need a new pump.  I have no idea where to look for a pump for this vehicle.  It is a japanese spec 1989 TownAce.  Could you point me in th right direction?

Thanks,
Douglas

Answer
I'm not reaaly sure what a townace model is, I'm sure they are sold in the US but under a different name, in any case I would recommend getting another opinion, a lot of times the power steering rack is leaking causing low fluid and the same noise from the pump, if the rack is OK and the pump is leaking the pump needs to be replaced, ask the mechanic that recommend replacing the pump where they would get it.
