Toyota Repair: Power window not working, toyota avalon, passenger windows

Question
Hi Ted,

I have a 1996 Toyota Avalon XLS. My problem is the 2 rear passenger windows will not go up or down. The front 2 work fine. I have pushed the driver safety controlled window lock buttton on the drivers panel but it doesn't do any good!  The rear windows do not work using the rear passenger buttons either.

Also my clock will not reset.  It stays at 1:00 and doesn't change when I try the reset button.

Thank for your help>

Answer
The most common cause is that the window master switch has a malfunction, all the windows are on the same circuit and the same fuse. I recommend replacing the window master switch, if the clock can't be reset it needs to be replaced the two issues are not related.
