Toyota Repair: Oil gel 1998 camry LXE V6, camry xle, toyota dealer

Question
Well, I broke the cardinal rule and purchased a 1998 Camry XLE V6 yesterday from a dealer in Milwaukee WI, without resarching potential problems, but for $6800 and 107,000 miles, it seemed a safe enough deal.
It idled smoothly and ran great, but now, after doing some web research, I am concerned about the oil gel issue.
The oil was so clean, it was difficult to see the level on the dipstick.
I paid with check and credit card, so I may still have a little leverage.
From what I understand of the settlement, this car is outside of the 8 year limit.
This dealer is supposed to be the largest Toyota dealer in the Midwest, so they obviously are well familiar with this problem.
Should I ask for documentation and if I get stonewalled, assume there is a problem, and eat the 5% penalty for cancelling, per WI state law?
Is it true that rebuilt engines are $4k plus labor?
Thanks foryour advice.

Answer
The answer is simple, there is either oil gelling or the isn't, the best way to check for it is to remove the front valve cover for inspection and then it's either yes or no,let the dealer know that you are concerned about this,  if there is then the dealer has to address the issue, if not, then nothing else needs to be done
