Toyota Repair: Toyota Highlander hi-speed whistle noise, toyota highlander, wheel balance

Question
At high speed and with a good wind blowing from either side, there's a high-pitched intermittent shrieking noise in my 2001 Highlander at about 70-80 mph. It also seems to pull into the direction of the wind. It's quite loud and very annoying.  I checked the wheelwells, front bumper assembly etc. and didn't find any trim pieces broken or missing and the tires are fine with no lumps or separations. The alignment and wheel balance are fine...the tires have about 25% tread left.

Answer
If it has a roof rack check the crossbars and make sure they are not positioned too closely together, they can create wind noises, also make sure they are installed in the right direction, there are arrows on the crossbar brackets, they should be pointing foreward.
