Answer
Replace the entire axle half-shaft instead of the CV joint. It's easier & doesn't cost much more.

Really... It's more finding the time if you don't have a toolchest. It's actually alot simpler than people make out. it's simply disconnecting the suspension so you can swing the wheel hub out, so you can pull the axle out.

I would advise you to keep the car on the ground & get the axle nuts off with the wheels on. So you don't marr up your wheel studs locking them with a bar against the ground.

Have a longer breaker bar, or use a 1/2" wratchet with a cheater pipe. A 1000ft-lbs impact gun can get them off pretty easy too! LoL! Propane torch helps if something is just flat out stuck. Just try not to melt anything you need.

Um... Get youself a pry bar about a foot, foot & a half long. Alot of times the axles can be a pain to pull out, but in all honesty. About half the time they're being difficult, you just don't have the force pulling it out "right"!

Support the outer part of the new axles as you install them so they don't dangle on the inner joint.

Biggest helper ever is having a nice cordless impact gun. 80-100ft-lbs of torque. Things are just killer for anything under the "big" 19mm+ hardware you find on most cars.
