14,000 mile on car it won't start went out to dinner came out car won't turn over no sound from ignition. Light work radio does not tried a jump and it did not work. No sound when key is turned just check engine light and air bag light come on.

Can you hear a "click" sound from under the hood when you roll the key into start position? If so I would say you have worn starter contacts inside the starter. The contacts can be replaced without buying a new starter.  If your mechanically inclined they are not that hard to do. You can buy the contacts at most all starter/alternator rebuild places.  Otherwise you may want to let them do it for you.
