Toyota Repair: 1999 solara engine check light on, better business bureau, 400 bucks

I check the code 0755 and it says shift solenoid B malfunction. The dealer says it take 400 bucks to fix it. Do you know what kind of repaire is neede?

Before they repair the solenoid they need to double check that it is not a wiring problem to the solenoid. I would seek out a good independent transmission shop and get a second opinion.  Try to stay away from the big name companies such as AMCO. Look for ASE certified technicians and check the Better Business Bureau for complaints against them.  You may have to drive a bit, but a second opinion is like a picture, worth a thousand words.
