Toyota Repair: 2001 toyota sienna passangert side power window, s finger, toyota sienna

Question
the window will go down most of the time as normal , but when i try to raise the window it will come up alitttle and then stop, if i wait awhile it wil raise a inch or so then stop , if i repeat this process a few times over a long period of time i can get the window all the way up. is this the wondow motor it self, and can i change it. I talked to a guy at the toyota dealer who would not give me any idea as to the problem but said if it was the motor or the regulator , it was a very hard thing to replace due to the timing of the unit?.

any help would be appreciated..

Answer
Roll it all the way down, pull the panel off & remove the window.
Then put it back in.
Make sure the thing is aligned correctly, and not biding.

It could be tripping out thinking it's hitting someone's finger if it's been knocked around alot. Or yeah, the motor assembly may need replacing.
