Toyota Repair: 91 Toyota 4RNR, fuel pump relay, dash lights

Question
Hi,
My 4rnr has 180 or so miles and I take pretty good care of it.  It has started to die after it warms up...the RPMs drop to 0, the dash lights come on, and there's a click (like a switch) that turns on located (it sounds like) under the glove box.  When the truck is in motion it's fine, it's only when my speed drops that the engine dies.  Do you think it has something to do with the setting of idle, or something much more serious?  Thanks!

Answer
Rachel,

The click under your dash is probably the fuel pump relay shutting down after the stall, that is normal. Second yes it sounds like a simple idle adjustment. I would start by having the throttle body cleaned really good. Second allow the engine to warm up fully and have set the base idle using the set screw on the throttle body.
