Toyota Repair: 1996 camry 4 cyl p steering., tyre rotation, tyre size

Question
In 08/2006 i rotated the tires on my 1996 camry, 11/2006 the power steering was getting hard to turn, i added fluid which was needed and that corrected the problem a little but it still feels stiff, i checked the belt and seems to be fine, car her 89,000 miles. Would a p steering flush do it and if so how do you do a p steering flush? do you need any special tools, by the way it has never been done on this car. your help is appreciated, Hapy holidays, Mannie.

Answer
well, tyre rotation doesnt make any differnce if the tyre size is the same. if the width of the tyre is increased, it will also increase stiffness. About flushing, there are two pipes connected to the fluid container. One at the lower end and one at the upper end. Disconnect the upper pipe and start the engine. All the fluid will come out of the steering box through this pipe. Turn the steering wheel to the left and right at this time to completely flush out the hydraulic. if the problem still remains, then the steering system hydraulic power pump is faulty and not producing enough fluid pressure.
