Toyota Repair: 93 Toyota Camry bad oil leak, oil pressure switch, pan gasket

Question
Was I ripped off for the oil pan gasket for $234?  He said he did me a favor because it should have cost $500.  Should I go back and have him change the timing cover leak or change the cam seal from the timing cover.

-----Question-----
Just bought for $2000, 203K miles, with oil leak.  Auto repair said the oil pan was done incorrectly with a R3V (not sure RVD) gasket and should not be driven for 3 days.  He replaced with Toyota Pack Seal and said to wait and see if the oil pressure switch has oil.  After the oil pan replacement, still leaked oil.  He said it wasn't the oil pressure switch, but the timer cover.  Does he really know where the oil leak is or is he making guesses while my pocket money is getting empty.
-----Answer-----
Who said there wasn't an incorrect gasket on there like he said?
The cam seals will leak oil into the timing cover also. Which will drain down the engine unnotied until it gets near the bottom.

Change the valve cover gaskets, cam seals, distirbutor gasket. Rear main seal too if you've got abit of time.

If it's a v6 you MUST replace the thermostat & pressure caps every 4 years, and flush the coolant every other year religiously. Just a tip. Do that & it'll run a 1/2 million miles.

Answer
It takes a $15 replacement quark gasket & about 20 minues worth of work to change just the pan gasket.
But $234 for it. Figure an hour to look for the leak, drop clean & reinstall the pan. Probably overpaid about $60.

I digress. You change the timing cover / cam leak. It's like the same thing. You take the valve cover off, timing belt cover off. Where some people throw in money is that they have to uninstall & resinatally the timing belt & cam sprocket to pull the cam gasket out.
