Toyota Repair: Car wont start and Missing Fuse, fuse box, toyota solara

Question
I have a 99 Toyota Solara. It will turn over once and then makes a squealing noise. I look at the fuse box and noticed that I am missing a fuse. The fuse is labeled A/F HTR 24A. I got the car over the summer and have never looked at the fuse box until now. I was wondering if that could be a cause of why it will not start?

Answer
Jessica,

I seriously doubt that the missing fuse is causing your car not to run. It was probably for an accessory that your car doesn't have, but they leave the wiring in for it.

If I had to guess I would say your water pump is locked up causing the Timing belt to not turn. That would explain the squeal and the fact it won't start. Your gonna need a good mechanic to repair this one.  Good Luck!!
