Toyota Repair: passenger kick panel relay replacement on a 95 corolla, fuse panel, kick panel

Question
Hi,
I had a my heater core replaced recently & now strange electrical things asre happening.

No heater fan, initially just clicking from relay under glove box, now nothing.

To start car, I must turn ignition on, wiggle that relay box & depress gear shift button, then starter turns.

Do I have to replace the entire kick panel unit?  Can a novice like me do it?  I've located one, is it just plug & go? is something else going on?  Please let me know.
Paul

Answer
First check all the fuses in the fuse panel in the left kick panel and also the ones under the hood. There should also be a fuse near the heater relay, it sounds more like there is a ground connection to the body loose or a connector not plugged back in all the way, I don't know if whoever replaced the heater core disturbed anything on the right side, recheck all the electrical connectors and make sure the black/white ground wires are tight on the sheet metal.
