Toyota Repair: toyota power antenna problem, spiral cable, power antenna

Question
I have a 2000 landcruiser that the power antenna with the radio on will only go up 3 to 4 inches. I have just replaced the mast because it was broken.

Answer
Did you install the new cable yourself?
Was the new white cable the same lenth as the old one you took out?
If not-
there may have been a piece of the old spiral cable left behind.You may need to take the ant out and take it apart to clean out old cable or debris.
