Toyota Repair: back light emblem on, small harness, light bulbs

The lights emblem on the dash board is still on after replacing tail light bulbs on a 1989 camry. I did find one that was burnt out, replaced it and the light comes on when car is put in gear, any help would be appreicated.

Check to make sure the backup lights in the rear work when put in reverse, if that's not the case check the tail light failure relay located inside the trunk on the left side behind the carpeting, see if it smells burned and if so replace it,if that's not the case there may be some broken wires in the small harness that runs along the left trunk hinge and they will need to be spliced back together, open the insulation and check for any wires that are pulled apart, check them all the way into the trunk.
