Toyota Repair: 2004 Sequoia gauge fuse blown frequently, garage door opener, gauge cluster

Question
Hi,

My Sequoia blows gauge fuse frequently when the truck first started in the morning right after the gear engaged.

This is the first season I left the truck outside of the garage. The fuse never blows while the car is driving, I doubt it is short related, plus Toyota dealer checked inside out on this car for several days with no success.

The only thing I added to this car after the factory is a 2006 Camry Nvi and a reverse cam installed 6 months ago. The reverse cam burnt within one month but the Navi works fine from day one.

The light bulb behind the overhead garage door opener button burnt 2 out of 5 for over a year.  The gear indicator light bulb burnt about two months ago and it was when the fuse started to have problem.

I doubt it is a short because it happens not quite randomly--there are some conditions as I listed at the first paragraph caused it.

What is causing the car to deliver a strong current to blow the fuse when gear engaged?

Thanks

Answer
In that case, it sounds like you're drawing too much power through the circuit, or you've got a short.
If it were mind, I'd disconnect the cam & navi. If it blew after that. I'd pull the entire gauge cluster out & dissasemble it. Checking it, and it's wiring ahrness for shorts following the factory repair manual.

Sorry, but that's about all I can tell you at the moment. :\
