Toyota Repair: Toyota 4Runner Turn Signals, filament bulbs, dual filament

Question
I was out looking again right now and now the flashers are not working-  still start with the bulbs and if so, those are just the bulbs inside the light itself, correct?  thank you so much.

-----Question-----
I do not know where to look for this dual filament bulb to replace it and I am not able to locate the flasher- have looked to the right of the fuse panel, I took off the driver sode kick panel- no luck- I looked under the hood- no luck.  What are your suggestions?  also, maybe the store sold me the wrong part and I am looking for the wrong thing to replace- can you direct me to a picture or diagram of the flasher and or where it should be replaced.  Bingham Toyota in Fresno wants $150.00 to change this- I refuse on principle.  However, I do need turn signals- thanks again.

-----Question-----
My turn signals just stopped.  Head lights, brake lights & emergency flasher work.  I checked fuses- all look okay, auto store suggested "flasher"- I don't seem to find one.  Thanks in advance for your time.
-----Answer-----
They should be dual-filament bulbs. You can burn one filament out & the other is fine.
-----Answer-----
Just start by replacing the turn signal bulbs.

Answer
Exactly. ;)

You see, what happens is it "looks" like the bulbs work, because they light up. But in effect, there are two light bulbs (filimants) in a single light ublb.

So it's like two light bulbs in one light. One of them burns out & then you wind up without turn signals, yet you think they work because the other little bulb inside there still works.

Common confusion with turn signals, brake lights, etc.
And if it winds up not being the problem. You'll be out a handful of dollars, have new bulbs & We'll go on from there.
