Question
Mechanic has isolated Cylinder #3 with misfire.  Says it is either Coil Pack or Injector, but hasn't started taking it apart yet.  He suggested maybe changing coil pack with another and just see if the misfire comes back.
Car runs better cold.  Warmed up it starts missing, but not every time you depress gas pedal.  In PARK it runs smooth.  In DRIVE with brake depressed you can feel a little miss every now and then.
Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Answer
It's coil on plug ignition. 6 cylinders, 6 coil packs.
You can swap the coil pack with another one on the same engine & see if the mis-fire changes to the other cylinder.

Injectors noremally are not a problem with Toyota's. They're double-filtered systems so the failure rate compaired to others is compairitively quite low. Personally. In a case like this I would think a coil pack before the injector. But without being there to test the coil, or injector by hand. That's the best I can tell you.
