Toyota Repair: backup lights, backup lights, backup light

i have a 1993 toyota pickup the backup lights are not working the bulbs are ok there is no fuss for backup light all other fusses ok think it might be switch,how can i ckeck it before buying new

10A GAUGE or 15A CIG fuse powers the backup lights.
Depends on floor shift or column shift.
Check them first
Then check to see if you have voltage at wire at green wire with black tracer at nueutral switch {or backup light switch on side of trans if its a manual trans.}
