How would you reset the check engine light  for a 1993 toyota 4runner?

Answer
Pull the fuse marked "EFI" from the fuse box for a second. Replace the fuse.
To read the code, you would short terminals TE1 & E1 in a Diagnostic port. Turn the ignition key to ON.
The CEL, or Over Drive lights will flash the code in numerical sequence, or flash a steady on-off pattern twice a second if all is clear.
