in winter when i start my truck in the morning it gives off too much smoke (big cloud of smoke for 15 minutes only)i was told by local mechenic it's normal for cold weather is it really normal?

when i drive between 2 walls or in a narrow street it makes very annoying noise sounds like muffler it was checked by mechenic muffler has no leakes or cracks they couldn't find any problem what could it be.

AnswerIf the smoke is white and oderless, its just condensation.
That I would consider normal
If the smoke is blue, its burning oil.
Does it use oil?
If its white and smells kinda sweet, its antifreeze, Does it use antifreeze?
Get a second opinion on the exhaust leak. I cant actually hear it so take it to a muffler shop and get it checked,
