Toyota Repair: My 89 camry shakes when its idling., 1989 toyota camry, engine vibration

My 1989 toyota camry always shakes when its in gear(automatic)
but, the shake reduces when in park or neutral. Whats the deal?

Possibly a motor mount problem, check the motor mounts to make sure that there is no direct contact between the metal part of the mopunts and the frame especially if the car was involved in a collision, if not check all the mounts for cracked insulators anyway, this is the only way engine vibration will transmit from the engine to the body.
