can I tow a 1983 Corrolla with auto-trans with drive wheels on the ground?

Answer
Whenever possible you should tow with the drive wheels off the ground. The transmission isnt lubricating the bearings in the tailshaft if the engine isnt running.
If the vehicle is towed for a shrt time at mioderate speed, you should be fine.

Its not a good idea to tow for the long haul on the drive wheels. Using a Dolley would be best.
