Toyota Repair: 98 Camry 1st cyclinder inactive, egr system, coil pack

Question
The 1st cyclinder is not firing. I recently had the car tuned up (new wires, plugs, filters) and thought this may help. The scanner also read a faulty EGR. I know this is not effecting the 1st cylinder because it is located on the 4th cylinder and would only effect all of them, correct? I must be a coil or fuel injector. How can I tell? Are they easy to repair?

Answer
I need to know if it is a 4 cylinder or V-6, yes you are correct the egr system affects all cylinders equally so that's not the problem, if the #1 cylinder is dead it may be due to low compression or a coil pack or a fuel injector if it's a V-6,  that's why I need to know for sure which one it is to be of more help.
