Toyota Repair: 95 Camry Coolant, 2 quarts, haynes manual

Question
Hello,

I just did a coolant flush on my '95 Camry LE Coupe (4 cyl, 5SFE).  The Haynes manual says this thing holds 6.7 quarts of coolant, but when I drained it I got only 5 quarts or so.  Is the book wrong here, or is there more coolant that doesn't drain?

I flushed it with a cleaner and then with water. The old stuff was out, and the system just had distilled water in it.  I decided to believe the Haynes specification (thinking there must be some water still in there), so I put in a little more than 3 quarts of antifreeze (thinking a little more than 3 quarts would give me a 50/50 ratio) and about 2 quarts of distilled water.  It is now topped up.

Maybe you have the real service manual from toyota... do they list the coolant specs?

What if it only holds 5 quarts of coolant, will too much antifreeze cause problems?  Like not cooling effectively, or damage to the pump?

Also there are two holes in the top of my overflow tank.  This can't be too serious becuase it's been like that for awhile (it is a new-for-me used car).  Will this prevent coolant from returning to the radiator when cooling down?

Thanks.

Answer
Your good.
The 50/50 mix is a guide line. A pint or so either way wont matter.
The heater core and the block hold the rest of the coolant thats unaccounted for.
You did fine.
Just put some sealer on the holes in the resevoir, its not pressurised.
