Toyota Repair: Air bag indicator light, toyota camry, airbag system

Question
I have a 98 Toyota Camry, 4cyl, auto trans, 190K miles.  The air bag indicator light came on the other day and won't turn off.  Can you tell me what this means?  Also, where can I found out information about recalls on the 98 camry, since I haven't owned this car for a very long time.

Answer
Stop at the dealer and give them the VIN # and they can tell you if any recalls apply.

There is a fault somewhere in the Airbag system.
Under the hood near the right strut is a black box marked "Diagnosis"
Pop the cap, jump teminals Tc and E1 , there marked inside the cap,and the light on the dash will flash a code to tell what circuit the fault lies in.
Let me know what the code is.
While the light is on your airbags will NOT work.
