Toyota Repair: timming chain cover and harmonic balancer, crank pulley, pan gasket

Question
85,22R,244k,EFI,X-cab,2WD, straight drive,  removing the timming chain cover , do i have to remove the harmonic balancer, if so what is the best way sence the head is already off
also do i have to remove the oil pan, cause their are 2 bolt for the oil pan on the bottom of the timming cover or can i just use sealer on the oil pan gasket where the timming cover goes

Answer
yes the crank pulley needs to come off.
put a breaker bar and socket on the crank bolt swing over till it hits the frame and then hit the key. the engine will break the bolt loose, then pry the pulley off.

You can get a pan gasket and cut the piece to fit the front edge of the oil pan,use FIPG sealer.
