Toyota Repair: tacoma idle prob, toyota tacoma, throttle body

Question
i have a 1995 toyota tacoma and its having a problem idling. i come to a stop and the rpms drop under 500.  it has 114k miles. any ideas? i check the vaccume lines, air filter. thanks

Answer
It's an idle speed control valve problem, they have a tendency to get sticky at higher mileages, the solution is to remove the throttle body and then remove the ISC valve from it and clean both the valve and the throttle body with a throttle body cleaner and a brush, check the ISC valve closely in some cases there may be corrosion that will make it necessary for replacement instead of just cleaning.
