Toyota Repair: 1989 Tarago thermostat., radiator hose, toyota tarago

Question
I have a 1989 Toyota Tarago RV sport which doesn't seem to warm up. Someone suggested the thermostat may have jammed open. Toyota said $25Australian for the part but $125 labor to fit it. Can this be self fitted at home?
                Yours faithfully, Russell Bell.

Answer
I wish I could help but I have no idea what a tarago is.
I'm sure they sell them here in the US under a different name, maybe if you could send a photo by email and tell me what engine it has I might be able to help, thermostats are not hard to replace on most toyotas, just locate the top radiator hose and see where it connects to the engine and the housing for the thermostat will be there, but this is not always the case, it either has 10 or 12mm nuts connecting the housing to the engine, you may contact me directly at tedrttr@yahoo.com for any further assistance if needed.
