Toyota Repair: Toyota Corolla 2001, powertrain warranty coverage, toyota corolla 2001

Please, please, If u could help me, I will greatly appreciate it.I own a Corolla 2001 with 53 000 kms.Lasy year the check engine light came on. I took it to Toyota, they hooked it up to the computer. The sensor under the hood was replaced, costed about 110 dollars. The light came on again a few days ago, I took it yesterday to Toyota, They now tell methe SHIFT SOLENOID MALFUNCTION, I need a new transmission, approx value 3800 dollars. Its the CODE PO755. Can u please help me. They told me to call TOYOTA Canada, If I thought it was unjust.I dont have this kind of money. The car is running great. They dont know when it will become a severe problem. They said it could be a day or a month. Please help me.

I would take the advice of the toyota dealer and call the customer service number in canada, I do not know what the warranty period is in that country I only have information for the US, the powertrain warranty, which includes transmission failure here is 5yrs/60,000 miles.
Check your owner's manual for powertrain warranty coverage or call the customer service number, if you don't have it look in the owner's manual or call the toyota dealer they have to give it to you.
