Toyota Repair: belt problem, 1993 toyota tercel, crankshaft pulley

Question
on my 1993 toyota tercel, the power steering belt keeps popping off when i get to between 2000 and 3000 rpm what should i be looking for besides getting a new belt because the one thats on there is right out of the box.

Answer
Check to make sure that both the power steering pump pulley and the crankshaft pulley are aligned, most of the time when a belt jumps off it is because there is a problem with a pulley, after installing another belt make sure that it is on correctly and that is perfectly straight on both pulleys, this is a ribbed belt so make sure it is the correct one and that it's on right.
Make sure all the ribs on the belt match to the pulleys.
