Toyota Repair: 89 camry wagon electric window, broken wires, case thanks

The passenger side electric window is not working. We jumped the window motor to 12v and it goes both up and down. We just happened to have a similar year camry in the shop and we swapped the passenger door/window switch. The door lock works the window does not. We also then swapped the drivers master switch. The swapped master controlled all other windows except this one. This is exactly what was happening before. I read through most all window related responses on your site and did not come across what I felt would help me in this case. Thanks for doing this service.

It's probably a wiring problem, the most common is that the wires in the loom between the door and the door jamb get stretched and break on the inside, open the harness and check for broken wires between the connector on the junction block and the window motor, you should find the problem there.
