Question
91 Camry V6 SW 115,000 miles. Ran fine one day, wouldn't the next.  Starts & runs for a couple of seconds if sitting for more than a day, but then stalls.  Cranks but won't turn over if tried again.  Changed fuel filter but very little gas released from line when fitting loosened.  I believe car still has original timing belt, plugs & wires, but did not run uneven before this problem arose.

Answer
The problem may be the fuel pump based on the fact that very little fuel escapes when the fitting is loosened so I would recommend having the fuel pressure tested with a pressure gauge.
At this mileage there may also be a problem with the timing belt, it may have slipped on the gears, did you check for spark at the spark plug connectors?
For a quick check to see if the distributor and coil are ok remove the center coil wire from the distributor cap and hold it about 1/2 inch from a ground, when cranking the engine the spark should jump the gap, if not there is an ignition problem and not a fuel problem.
