Toyota Repair: Power Window Problem, master switch, test light

Question
I have a 2002 extended cab Toyota Tacoma.  This morning the drivers side power window stopped working.  The drivers side window will not go down.  The passenger side window appears to be working fine.  I need help in diagnosing the problem and figuring out whether the cause is the switch, motor, regulator, fuses, etc.  The dealer costs for these parts are high.
Thanks,
Matt

Answer
Not uncommon for motor failure. The best thing to do is pull the door panel, disconnect the motor and substitute a test light. If the light lights with up and down of the switch, the rest of the circuit is good. Replace the window motor.

If the light only lights in the "UP" mode then the drivers master switch may be faulty.
