Toyota Repair: Check Engine Light, mass air flow sensor, air flow meter

My check engine light came on so I took my V6 1999 Toyota 4 Runner to Auto Zone for a check and they said it is a code P0171.  What is this and how can I correct it?

This code is a lean fuel mixture condition caused by the air flow meter, the solution is to replace it.
It's located in the air intake tube just behind the air filter, it has two small phillips screws attaching it to the intake tube and is easily replaced by removing the cruise control actuator and then removing the two screws holding the air flow meter on, it is also referred to as the mass air flow sensor. Contact the toyota dealer to purchase the part.
