Toyota Repair: Front tire where, toyota 4runner sr5, toyota 4runner

Question
1998 Toyota 4runner sr5 off road package
P265/70R 16 tires. 16in. tires came with package.
I have tire where on the inside. Very close to equil where on each tire. I have taken it in for allinment too to different places, one of them being the dealership. Both places said the allinment was in spec. and no damaged or worn parts. Could they be over looking something in the front that is causing this? Help the 16in. tires are not cheep. Thanks.

Answer
If there is excessive tire wear on the inside or outside for that matter there is an alignment problem, most of the time the inside wear is caused by an toed-out condition, I'm not sure I can help you any more than this, sometimes unusual tire wear can be caused by underinflation, I recommend keeping at least 40psi in these big tires and rotating them every 5000 miles for maximum tire life.
Another factor to consider is the weight factor and whether the vehicle is frequently towing something like a trailer or boat, anytime the is weight added to the rear of the vehicle the alignment geometry in the front changes, it may check out perfectly with no with no load but when a trailer is attached placing more weight on the rear it will change the front alignment to some degree, something to consider.
