Toyota Repair: RAV 4, 2002, when it is raining..., stiff brush, throttle body

Question
RAV 4, 2002,  when it is raining it will occasionally not start. When it does finally turn over, the gas petal is somewhat resistant
this has only happened 3 times but its annoying  thoughts?

Answer
If the engine doesn't turn over there is a problem with the battery or starter, if it cranks bu does not start it is an ignition system problem in which case I recommend replacing the spark plugs and the wires, if it has a distributor replace the cap and rotor also.
The sticking of the gas pedal is due to some deposits that have built up in the throttle body, it can be cleaned with a stiff brush and some spray throttle body cleaner. Open the throttle all the way and clean out the bore.
