Toyota Repair: rack and pinion, power steering racks, pep boys

my 1992 toyota camry. power streering sticks hard when i turn the wheel do i need a new rack or can i fix the rack with other parts needed. also do you now where i can get instuctions on the repair.

Power steering racks are very difficult to repair and require lots of special tools and knowledge, even at the dealer level it is more cost effective to replace them with remanufactured units fom an outside source, we do not repair steering racks, we replace them and I recommend that you do the same, contact any larger auto parts store(Kragen, Autozone, Pep Boys) they will help you.
