Toyota Repair: 1999 Toyota Camry XLE Engine Light/Trac Off Light, toyota camry xle, spark plug wires

Question
My 1999 XLE V-6 Camry has approx. 80,000 miles.
About 2 1/2 mos. ago the engine light came on and the engine started "hesitating" or "skipping" only when I maintain speed.  It doesn't seem to happen when I accelerate or take my foot off the gas peddle. This is not consistant. At some point the trac off light came on although not for any apparent reason. Sometimes the lights go off for a while and then come back on. I don't have specific code #'s, but was told it showed #1,3,5 cyl. misfiring-#2,4,6 cyl misfiring, running "lean", and a whole slew of other codes.  This is what has been done to it so far: 1) tune-up (still had problem) 2) coils replaced and fuel injectors cleaned (still had problem) 3) EGR valve was removed and I drove it for a couple of days-problem was less apparent so they replaced EGR valve (still have problem). It feels like it's not operating on all cyl. and then one "kicks in" -but only temporarily. Now it is "drinking" gas! One tank of gas lasted 150 miles.
Please HELP! Thank you,  Kathy

Answer
Without knowing all of the trouble codes I can't be of very much help, the codes are necessary to make any kind of diagnosis.
Try to provide me with all of the trouble codes that were logged in the computer.
When all of the work was done like the tune up etc., were the spark plug wires ever replaced? If not try replacing them.
By the way, the trac/vsc lights will turn on any time there is an engine malfunction that causes the check light to come on it simply means that these sytems have been turned off by the computer and will remain off until the engine malfunction is corrected.
