Toyota Repair: 95 Toyota Corolla - Brake Light/EGR valve, brake warning light, modulator valve

Question
My brake light has recently started to come on early in the morning when it's colder outside and shuts off periodically.  It shuts off by the time I get half way to work, which is about 20 minutes of driving.  I don't feel any tugging or hear any screeching, do I need to panic and take it in right away?

The engine light came on last month and it indicated the EGR valve is bad.  I'm getting to the end of my life with my Corolla (151k miles), do I need to change that out? - Thanks for your help.

Answer
The brake warning light is on because the brake fluid is low, this can be caused by worn front brake pads so please have the brakes checked.
I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with the egr system without having the trouble code but I would recommend replacing the valve if that's the problem, there is the EGR valve and there is an EGR modulator valve which is much cheaper and is usually the cause of the problem.
