Toyota Repair: 1993 toyota camry ignition module, toyota camry, head gasket

Question
Hello,

I have a 1993 Camry 4 cylinder and while driving at normal speeds the engine suddenly stopped. The engine turns over but it does not start. I took it to a mechanic because I don't have time to mess with it and their diagnosis was the following:

1: Bad ignition module
2: Need to replace the head gasket (not leaking oil into cooling system nor is it overheating but they suggested the replacement.

The price tag would be $1800.00 :/

I rather fix this myself so my question is;
I need to drive it home from the shop since I only live a block away. How would I bypass the ignition module so I can get a spark and in turn get it started so I can drive it home :)

I will find a module in a junk yard or buy it new and do a compression test to see if the head gasket needs replacing. I can handle this myself since I am mechanically inclined, thanks in advanced!

Answer
The igniter module can't be bypassed, since I have seen a lot more distributors cause a no spark condition I would try to pick one up at a salvage yard and see if it starts.
Then I would recommend having the headgasket checked somewhere else, preferably a toyota dealer, to see if it is really leaking internally.
