Toyota Repair: Toyota Avalon 1995, stereo and wind noise, toyota avalon, radio problem

I have a 1995 Toyota Avalon and the stereo went out. I can turn it on but there is no sound coming from the speakers. I've been told that 95 avalons are the worse with this and that it is usually the amp giving out. If this is the case, is there some kind of recall or TSB on this? I can't seem to find any information about this problem on the internet. If there isn't a recall or TSB, my friend suggested just buying an after-market amp and installing it, will this work?

Also there is a lot of noise on the front driver side and front passenger side window. I've read there is TSB on the 96 avalon and on some forums people said that there is a recall on this problem and you can just go to a dealership and they're fix it for free, is there something like this on the 95 Avalon? There are no TSBs issued for the radio problem and there is no recall, an aftermarket amp maybe an option,check with an audio shop, I don't know anything about aftermarket products for toyotas.
There were several service bulletins issued for the wind noise but no recalls, the warranty period was for 3yrs/36,000 miles, if you can send me an email address I can email a copy of the service bulletin that applies to your avalon.
