Toyota Repair: defroster, toyota camry, control cables

1985 toyota camry. air does not come out of the defroster. all other features work

One of the control cables may have become disconnected, check on the right side of the heater unit, this may require removal of the glove compartment, check to see if the control cable is attached, if it is , see if it moves when using the adjustment knob, if not there is a problem with the control unit in the dash.
