Toyota Repair: RESET MAINTENANCE DUE LIGHT, secret sequence, many cars

HI TED,

I HAVE AN '05 SIENNA AND DO MY OWN SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE. BUT HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE YET TO FIND OUT HOW TO RESET THE DASHBOARD INDICATOR LIGHT. I KNOW ON MANY CARS THERE IS A 'SECRET' SEQUENCE WHICH CAN BE USED TO RESET THE LIGHT (SUCH AS MY VOLVO) BUT I DON'T KNOW IF SUCH IS THE CASE WITH THE SIENNA. ONE PROCEDURE I FOUND ONLINE DIDN'T WORK.

Answer
Try doing this:
Turn the ignition on
Make sure the odometer displays "ODO" NOT TRIP
Press the trip reset button in and hold it in through the next steps
Turn the key off
Turn the key back to ON
Hold the button in until all the flashing lines on the odometer go away and the mileage returns and the maint reset light stops flashing
Your'e done.
