Toyota Repair: Maintenance lamp on!, 2004 toyota 4runner, toyota 4runner

Hi Ted,

two days after I changed oil (from syn. blend to full syntetic) in my 2004 Toyota 4Runner (mileage 34.000), a maintenance lamp turned on. Is that just erroneusly delayed oil change signal or could it be another malfunction I should take care of?

It's just a maintenance reminder light, you can turn it off by doing the following:
Turn the key on
make sure the odometer shows "ODO" not trip
press the trip reset button and hold it in
turn the key off and back on
hold the reset button in until the display on the odometer goes back to normal, the light will turn off.
